Birthday Banner

I decided to make a happy birthday banner for my son's 4th birthday.  The theme of his party was none other than his absolute favorite, Lightning McQueen.  I was trying to do this one a budget, since we are getting ready to move and add multiple updates to our new house.  I purchased all of my paper, cardstock and ribbon from Hobby Lobby (love that store!).  First, I cut out the banner onto blue cardstock.  Then, I cut the pieces for the road, the circles, scallops, Lightning McQueen and letters with my cricut.  To make the accordion circles, I cut 1.5 in x 12 in strips with my MS paper trimmer.  Then scored the strips at 1/2 in apart.  Then, I assembled all the parts, strung it up on some red ribbon, and voilĂ , a cool bday banner.

Birthday Invitations

It may not look like it from the pictures, but I put a lot of work into these invites. So after cutting out and assembling Lightning Mcqueen at 3 inches eight times, my eyes were crossing. However, I do believe my little guy's invites came out pretty cute (or cool as he would say)!! I pretty much spent an entire weekend designing, cutting, embellishing, and gluing these invitations. But, it was a labor of love! :)

My First Post!!

This is my first post! I've been working on creating a blog for months. Between moving from North Carolina to Indiana, and all the headaches that come with moving, I have not had much time for creating. I decided to break my cricut out from the moving box and make a card for my friend who recently had twins.
I used ACY for the card base and sentiment, NA for the sweet peas, peachy keen Just Baby Faces for the babies faces, and I inked the edges of the card and cuts. Not an elaborate card, but I think it turned out cute.
